Jarren's First Concert
Jarren started playing the Alto Saxaphone in October and he had his first concert in December. I was very impressed with how well the group sounded for only playing for 2 months.

Sledding
Our family did something new this last weekend. We went sledding! We stayed at a cabin at Bear Lake on Friday night, and then went sledding on Saturday. Karli cried the majority of the way there because she didn't want to go, but by the time we got there, she ran around and had a great time. I wish I would have gotten a picture of the kids playing ping pong and throwing their stuffed animals from the balcony to the main level of the cabin. This activity kept them busy for hours.
By 8:30 in the morning on Saturday, Jarren and Jason were already outside and the girls followed closely behind. After landing face first in the snow 2 times, Halle was quickly back inside.
Jarren loved snow boarding with one of our new sleds. He did really good! And now talks frequently about doing it again. We may have started an expensive hobby. :)
Kate loved the round sleds. She would spin around and around as she went down the hill, giggling and laughing the whole way.

It's a long way up the hill when the snow is up to your knees.

Jason even got in on the sledding.
Cheer Camp
My girls wait for cheer camp every year. As soon as one cheer camp is over, they are ready for the next one. This year Karli didn't want to do it, but the other 3 girls did. I thought Halle was too little to do it, but our friend was one of the cheerleaders in charge of it and she wanted her to do it. She did a little better than I thought she would. Maya and Kate got pretty into it, and it was fun to watch.
January Birthdays
I'm a little late with this. In January we had 2 birthdays. Maya turned 9 and Karli turned 7. Maya was all about getting Legos and American Girl clothes for the doll she got for Christmas. Karli wanted doll furniture, so she got a doll high chair and pack and play.
