Little Roller

Kate is now 5 months old and she has decided that she wants to roll now. Today she started rolling from front to back and back to front.

Happy Birthday Jason!

Jason's 29th birthday was yesterday. It ended up being a lot calmer than we had anticipated. Originally Jason was taking Jarren to his baseball game and I was taking Maya to her soccer practice. But, the rain and snow caused both to be cancelled. How nice!

Purple Day

Karli's favorite color is purple and today must have been a purple day in her mind. She started the day by picking out her favorite "purple pants" with a purple shirt (as soon as she sees these clothes in the clothes basket she has to put them on, even if it's almost dinnertime). Then she got upset because the outfit I had picked out for Kate to wear wasn't the purple outfit she wanted, so to please her, I put Kate in the purple outfit. Then, we went to the store to get her some new spring pajamas. I showed her some pink ones, but she instantly saw a purple pair that I had missed. We came out of the store with the purple pair.

The BOYS and Kate

This picture made me laugh. I made the mistake of trying to take a picture while the NBA playoffs were on TV; notice where Jason and Jarren's eyes are looking...the TV. The only one looking at me is Kate.

Maya's First Soccer Game

Maya had her first soccer game yesterday. It was pretty funny to watch. Her team consists of 12 kids; 11 little girls and 1 boy; and 9 of the little girls are from our neighborhood. Maya was very excited for her game (Although I think some of the excitement was for the snack after the game. You can tell whose daughter she is...Mine). When the game started the ball was on one side of the field, with all the kids close by it, except for Maya, she was clear on the other side of the field, not anywhere close to the ball. Soccer Trio

(Karli was saying "Cheese" when I took the picture)

Maya got her soccer uniform last night. She decided that she needed to try it on, so then Jarren needed to put his on from a few seasons ago, and since he had another one we decided to put it on Karli. I got a cute picture of the 3 of them, and within 10 minutes of taking it I had 2 girls with fat lips. Jarren tried to kick the ball and kicked Maya's lip instead, she bled pretty good. Then just a few minutes later, Karli pulled the baby swing down on top of her and got a fat lip too. We'll see when we pull out all 3 soccer uniforms again.

Baseball

Jarrren had his first baseball game yesterday. He's pretty excited to play for the Tigers. He was pretty proud when he came home from his game to tell me that he had gotten a homerun (I didn't tell him that the last person at bat always gets a homerun). So far he seems to love everything about baseball, mostly his mitt, his T-shirt, and his hat.

Breakfast with Daddy

Jason knew last night that he would be taking the day off work today and so he told the kids that he would make them a special breakfast in the morning. When Jarren and Maya woke up they were so excited for whatever daddy was making. It was so cute because Jason made menus with pictures of pancakes, waffles, cereal, toast, eggs, juice, milk, and hot chocolate. He let the kids circle the things that they wanted and then he made whatever they chose. What's funny is that all of the kids chose cereal (the exact same thing that we have every other day of the week).

Little Toothbrusher

I was so excited to walk into the bathroom tonight and see my sweet little Karli putting her own toothbrush into Kate's mouth. I'm so glad to know that she has such concern for her baby sister's gums.
