Rice Cereal

Kate is 6 months old today. I don't know where the time has gone. Since she's 6 months old I decided to give her rice cereal today. It's funny how with Jarren I was ready to have him try it as soon as he could (4 months old), but now with each baby I want to wait for as long as I can. I guess in my mind that keeps them a baby for longer. Anyway, Kate seemed to like it. She didn't pull any really funny faces like they do when they don't like something.

Karli's First Haircut

Last night I was gone to a church activity and I came home to find something surprising in the garbage can.

It's hair. It almost made me sick when I saw it. By the color of it I knew that it wasn't Maya's, so it had to be either Karli's or Kate's. Karli was the only one awake, so I hurried into her room and sure enough it was hers. My sweet little Maya decided to give her a haircut while mom was gone; how thoughtful!! She cut a lot from the top, so now she barely has any bangs, and there isn't enough for ponytails on top. Luckily there's just barely enough in the front that I can put a clip in, however, her hair is so fine that within a few minutes of the clip being in, it slides out. Oh well, at least it will grow back.

Ants

Can I just say that I really don't like ants. We've had a problem with ants in our family room. They pretty much stayed in one area, but now they're moving to other areas. Last night I was disgusted to find them in my diaper bag. There weren't just a few of them, there were a ton. They were on Kate's extra clothes, the diapers, the burp rag. Gross!! I hope we can get rid of them soon.

New Church Calling

This past Sunday was my last Sunday teaching the Gospel Doctrine class in Sunday School. I was released. I am now the choir director. I am a little bit nervous, but at the same time I am very excited to try something new.

Jarren's Unbirthday

Since Jarren's birthday is in the summertime his kindergarten teacher let him celebrate his "unbirthday" today at school. Jarren has been very excited waiting for May 1st to get here. The picture is of him at home before he took his Zingers to school to share with his class.
